Ingredients

Returning to the market with Holly, Luke's girlfriend for ingredients for the evening. A happy hour gathering of friends, food, and booze in my honor. Ticking off items from our list while perusing the aisles and navigating the crowds. Parting later to take in an exhibit of Andrew Wyeth's work on display at the Seattle Art Museum. Worth an afternoon or two or three to gaze on his paintings. Each so full of detail and care you cannot help but feel how deeply he loved his subject, Helda, with the finesse of each brushstroke of her hair. Padding off to gaze on First Nations art from all over the Pacific Northwest before being engulfed in a downpour of famous Seattle rain on the way home.

Meeting many friends and eating some delicious food (Holly is an incredible cook). Nibbling gorgonzola cheese fries and sipping on rosemary vodka cocktails, fancy right? Plans for the weekend coming into hazy focus backpacking in the North Cascades. The end to another day, each one better than the last.
