Masala Chai

We have developed a taste for masala chai on our travels to India. This little brass pestle and mortar is for crushing the spices added to the other ingredients
We use a piece of dried ginger root, some cardamon pods , a couple of cloves and boil them with milk and water mixed for about 10 minutes. We then add tealeaves and boil for another minute or two before adding sugar to taste. Delicious!
