Welcome home!
Whenever we go away, we always get a friend in to dog sit. Much easier on the old boy and girl than having to spend time in a kennel. (Thanks Fiona, it was, as always, much appreciated). However, you do, sometimes come home to surprising stuff. First, tempur had left a message to say that we are to get a new mattress. Yaay!
Next, the water company left a note reminding us that we were about to have an extended period without water. After spending the last few days drinking bottled Strathmore water (which comes from a spring just up the road from us and is essentially the same stuff that comes out of our taps) and never being able to gt my hair clean properly, this was a bit less exciting. Still if they get it right this time we may have a winter without an interrupted supply. That would be nice.
Last but not least, I found a couple of marrows and some courgettes at the back door on top of the wood pile. I have no idea where they came from so, whoever left them there thank you very much. Not only will they make an excellent pot of soup, but I have now got something to use for a blip today as well!
Haven't got round to that yet today though. Headed into town with daughter as she was going back to Glas Vegas and then spent a bit of time catching up with the back blipping and stuff. So, as I am still cream crackered, I'm going to have a night off. Hopefully commenting will resume in earnest tomorrow.
If anybody is interested in what I've been up to over the past few days you will find it on 13th , 14th , 15th , 16th and the 17th.
