Ouch!

Poor son S had to get stitches this evening. He cut his finger while trying to cut an orange!

He has had many accidents over the years which have ended in the emergency room. He now has such a fear of blood, doctors, needles etc. He gets into such a panic and has even hidden an injury because of the fear of going to the hospital.

His cut today was too deep to prevent stitching. He had to overcome his fear this time. The doctor was great and gently administered the needle to numb his finger. It was a big breakthrough. After a little while he was brave enough to watch the doctor put in the stitches. Unfortunately he then fainted.

Luckily it was soon all over and a bubble gum milkshake saved the day!
