Where the swifts play...

After the long drive and getting the tent set up we just chilled.

Today was a great walk, we slept well in the 'glamping' tent, and we were really lucky with the weather. We set out from Buttermere and headed up onto Dale head, the clouds sat just above our heads and all was lovely as the sun broke through in little patches. The Autumn colours are just coming in and the hills are looking soooooo beautiful.

Dale head down to the tarn and up onto High Spy, all in lovely conditions, larking around on the edges (yes I know....not in any dangerous conditions!) with posey shots, then down to Catbells and eventually of to catch the launch across the Water.

One very tired and achey wife....one big grin on my face....
