Sunday: Sun Yat Sen Gardens

Have had a wonderful first day in Vancouver.  Although we didn't sleep all the way through, we did manage a cumulative total of about 8 hours so felt pretty fine.  We drove round Stanley Park this morning and then went for a wander round Gas Town. The weather was pretty dire  but it didn't matter too much.  This afternoon we talk a walk around the Sun Yat Sen Chinese Gardens where there was some great stuff going on for the mid autumn festival.  We had dinner this evening at a wonderful Chinese Indian restaurant - I.e. Chinese food with an indian influence, a food combination we have never tried before.  And, to finish the evening, we had ice cream from Casa di Gelato where they have 218 flavours on offer.  I had lavender which K. said tasted like granny's wardrobe!  All in all, a wonderful day, much of it spent in the lovely company of our lovely hosts, Virginia and Eric......  But now I'm sleepy so it's a blip and run from me.......
