my daily ritual (229/365)

I grab a cup of drip in the Starbucks in Borders on Buchanan in Glasgow. it's become my daily ritual_ a book, my iPhone, some ambient tunes & a cup of black joe.

it's my quiet time_ my downtime_ my time for refreshment & peaceful contemplation_ the calm in the storm that is daily life.

I think there is a place for intentional routine in our daily lives_ it's something that I know I benefit from. I also benefit from the solitude.

I do sometimes wish i could go to TINDERBOX or BEANSCENE for my daily cup_ the idea being to bask in the creative space & give back to the indie for the inspiration it provides_ but they are too far & well... I do enjoy the atmosphere of my local 'bucks_ and, dare I say, their drip coffees... especially their Tanzanian.

I do happily break my routine to meet with friends.
