End of the Adventure

Last day in the van and we decided to have a little detour to Fort George, which is a proper Fort with the BlackWatch based there. It's massive, and I had to walk for miles to find a toilet!

Popped into Nairn and had a proper coffee in a nice little Cafe recommended by the book Scotland The Best. We used this quite a bit over the past week, good that we took it as there was no internet access for most of the trip (that's a good thing!) and the book recommends all sorts of Scottish things.

Stopped off on the way back down the A9 at The House of Bruar for our tea. I could spend hours in this place. Bought a steak pie, Sloe Gin and Jelly Bellys:-)

It's great to go travelling but it's oh so nice to be back home in our own massive bed after a week sleeping in a hearse!! (or so it seemed).

Loved the freedom of the van - upping sticks and moving on to wherever we felt like (or the weather was better somewhere else) was fab. It was a special holiday and next year we are going real north, as we didn't get as far up as we had planned.
