New sketchbook

I dragged the other half around Saltaire festival yesterday with every intention of taking him around the mill. This didn't happen as it was so busy. After going around the vintage fair (new bag, purse, brooch, and a vintage boxed ball of wool) and the makers fair we spent 30 minutes queuing for the cashpoint at the local supermarket. Luckily we were entertained by someone who lived in the flats over the road, who decided to trap his stereo speakers in his window and play a Gloria Estafan CD for us. We then went down Exhibition Road where I bought a lovely Peruvian cotton/wool woven jacket, which may be tomorrow's blip. And this leather bound book which is my new sketchbook for when the urge to draw grabs me. At £28 I thought it was a bargain as others I've seen have been a lot more expensive. Top this all off with meeting up with some mates from work to have a walk around the park, then some beers in Caroline Street Social Club's car park. Needless to say it was a fab day and reminded me of the good times a long time a ago when I spent every weekend for 4 years hanging around Saltaire, before my life took a new path. I'm more in love with the village than ever and look forward to going back and dragging the other half around the mill soon :)
