Surfari Wake Up Call

Day 264 And the only good reason to be up and at them at this time on a Saturday morning is a surf trip! Oh to be by the seaside at Croyde for 10am and waiting for the others from the club to make it down. We eventually got in the water at noon-ish I managed an hour of the best surfing I'd ever done and finally started to master my board. That was until I thought I'd push myself out my comfort zone and head out back further than I'd been before to attempt to surf some green waves. Was doing ok until a wave dumped, I wiped out and got hit in the eye my own board - doofus! Session was cut short to try and find ice (no one had any wtf?). Luckily the knock missed my eye and I was able to drive (escorted by my mother - thanks mum!) home slightly earlier than planned. Was a long but good day with a surfin badge of honour to boot :/
