Extraterrestrial? ...

No, very down to earth damselfly. I pictured it in the late afternoon when there was less light due to a completely covered sky with dull grey clouds. The damselfly is sitting on a Purple Loosestrife.

I chose today for a b/w version with tone on tone yellow to give it a bit antique look. As usual you can see the colored version here.
