So that's it then, from today onwards the daylight will be shorter than the darkness. The cooler weather of last week seem to have bought autumn to some of the leaves a little more quickly than the warmer weather of the weekend would suggest.

Went for a great walk in Hay Wood this afternoon. The warm sunshine through the leaves making it a wonderful, sparkling time to reflect and wonder. The spots of light beaming through to highlight bright green and yellow leaves, (here) long shadows and the apparent incandescent light appearing through the trees is always magical at this time of year.

Hopefully there will be many more weekends like this as we wait for the frost and fog of November to dawn.
