NEIL IS BACK

Neil arrived home at 6.30pm. He and his girlfriend R took 3 flights today - Naples to Milan, Milan to Amsterdam and Amsterdam to Newcastle. All connections caught and they arrived in Newcastle on time. However R's suitcase did not. She is still without it.

If you think this sounds bad - well they suffered worse while they were away. They arrived in Naples on Tuesday - but their bags only arrived in Naples yesterday - Saturday. They had to manage on their holiday with no luggage - no clothes, no toiletries, no Neil's contact lenses, no cameras, - you name it they didn't have it. They bought a few items of clothing and bits and pieces to keep them going. Poor souls also had to go to Rome on the train, sightsee around Rome, eat out etc with only the few things they had bought.

Neil's girlfriend was understandably upset and Neil was annoyed but philosophical and he made sure they made the most of their time away and it sees as though they managed to enjoy Italy as best they could.

R's brother is a solicitor and things are in motion to try and get some sort of compensation/reimbursement. Hope they get something but money can't really make up for this bad experience.
