Meet Hector

There's a new spider in the kitchen - I've called him Hector. This morning he was guarding the cereal, and tonight he was on the ceiling above the cooker, watching Fred cook dinner. He is massive, about three inches in diameter (including legs), and we're slightly afraid, but no harm will come to him from us.

We watched Thirteen Days tonight - a film about something I knew nothing about. It makes for quite scary viewing, for what could have been.
