Mother Shipton

Wild Angelica

or Angelica sylvestris is a plant of damp boggy places. It is looking good at this time of year and is well liked by pollinators. These were covered in hoverflies as I walked past them.

I liked this shot because it is straight out of the camera, no cropping or messing. The light was low so the dof is not as high as I would have liked but I think I got away with it. The dark background is from the conifer wood I was walking through.

A warm and wet day which didn't feel very nice. More like a tropical rain forest than the west of Scotland.
