Zipsliding away!

I went off to Newport today to support my friend JaneyPud as she did a zip-slide from the top of the Newport Transporter Bridge for charity. An amazing achievement!

When I arrived she’d already been kitted out with harnesses and a helmet, after a short wait as the rest of the group got kitted out they finally made the long walk up to the jump point. Janey didn’t have long to wait with only a handful of people ahead of her, and then it was her big moment. A leap of faith and then a high speed slide down from the tower to the ground, it was over in a matter of seconds and you could see her relief at the end of it.

Well done Janey, you were awesome!

It was also good to finally say hello to WelshSi and his good lady Rosie, as we all supported Janey in her charity jump.

In other news Neath lost their second home league match of the season, not the greatest start to the season. This game was desperate though, not much entertainment for the TV audience.
