Unofficial Entry
I walked on the gravel banks of the tracks through the switching yard and sat down under the huge shade of a Southern Pacific locomotive looking for another shot of the circus train. Sometimes photos just don't happen.
The oily water in the puddles mirrored the colorless sky. Nothing here but a busted rusty iron pole and bleak gnarled steel boxes of machinery. So I shot this colorful boxcar. Maybe it rolled into Grand Rapids as an unofficial late entry to Art Prize - the perfect contrast to the clean, blue, curved glass from yesterday.
