A Midsummer Night

My friends decorated this tree in their backyard with mirrors and old cards and canopies and layed out pillows and blankets underneath. Joel strummed the guitar all night while we all talked and ate cake. The party broke up around one in the morning due to mosquitos.

Blaine and Caleb showed up around 2:30 as a surprise. Blaine and I went in the woods and lit candles around a blanket and picnic basket for Caleb and Bri. Then we sat on a swing and talked about rabbit holes and creating things and things that don't seem to matter but probably do. We talked until the sky began to lighten at six. We didn't want to leave.

Can you blame us?
