An evening at the Sundance
We capped off this wonderful Saturday by attending a showing of Good 'Ole Freda, at the Sundance Theatre, in Seattle. I remember the Sundance as the old Metro Theatre. Many of you are familiar with the Sundance Film Festival, or the Sundance Channel on TV. These luxury movie theatres, with reserved seating, beer, wine, cocktails, cheese platters, salads, pizzas and such, are the latest Sundance venture. Rich, Marcia and I enjoyed a pear/gorgonzola pizza and a few pints of Pilsner before the movie. Tonight's friendly, hard-working crew is pictured here.
For any Beatles fans out there, you must, I repeat, must go see Good 'Ole Freda, a documentary about Freda Kelly, 17 year old secretary to the Beatles and director of their fan club for eleven years, beginning from the eve of their breakthrough to stardom right through to their breakup in 1970. The film is full of never-before-seen photos, film footage, and insights from the wonderfully warm and down-to-earth Freda recounting her years working intimately, side by side with the Fab Four.
