Afon Mawddach
A day of contrasts. Earlier in the day I had changed my plans on the hills to climb because of the very low cloud and persistent heavy drizzle. after a really good soaking we decided to go down to the coast rather than set of off for another set of hills. It wasnt much better down there until suddenly the sun broke through. It lasted all of 10 minutes and within 30 minutes cloud base was back down at about 200 feet.
This is the view looking back up the Afon Mawddach with the Barmouth Railway Viaduct in the foreground.I have cycled over the viaduct in the past and one day I will take the iconic trip down the coast and over the viaduct on the train. Wel everybody needs to have a dream.
