Bloodstock - Day 2
Slightly earlier start today. More bands of interest on stage. Really wanted to see Apocalyptica again and they seemed to have a lot of support in the audience. (This was in complete contrast with Donnington a few years back - the idea of four cello's playing metal didn't really appeal to many at that time). Enslaved were also excellent and I really got into Candlemass and Blind Guardian. Still not keen on Kreator though.
As expected, conditions on site were not as good as they were yesterday. This was despite the collect a dozen beer cups and get a free beer token thing. This practice really does work if you want to keep the litter down. Those that are so inclined go around the site picking up everybody's discarded beer cups to pay for their own refreshments. Really funny when some guys decided to tie some empties to a piece of string and go fishing for unsuspecting collectors. There were a lot of embarrassed faces as a result!
Anyway, this guy had kept the beer theme going - he adorned himself with battle armour made from cases of a well known lager.
Late night pizza on the way back to the hotel. No idea what we looked like walking carrying red inflatable chairs as well as the food, but it was better than the overpriced cheese toasties that were served the night before.
