Landmark Center Interior

This is the interior of the Landmark Center in downtown St Paul, Minnesota. It is just across the street from Rice Park, one of the nicest spots downtown.

The Landmark Center was built as a federal office building housing the post office, corps of engineers, etc. The building came very close to being torn down in the 1960s, but was saved by a group of citizen activists. It is now one of St Paul's treasured buildings.

I was in downtown St Paul because the theme of my camera club this month is architecture. This was my first photo outing focusing strictly on architecture.
