The pass

Another afternoon spent watching the boys play rugby. They were playing away and we received an email from a parent inviting all the 1st team parents to meet in a pub for a pre-match drink and or lunch. We found the pub but as we do not know many of the other parents from the team (and the ones we do know were not there) Gavin had a few embarrassing moments going round saying, Hi, are you Tom? No....Hi are you Tom? No.... We never found Tom or the other parents, but to be fair the traffic going there was so bad that many parents only got there just in time for the match. As the pub was pretty full and as I was laughing so much at Gavin, we left and went next door to another place for a drink and light lunch.

It is difficult having two sons playing at the same time, so we watched the first half of Adam's match and then walked over to the 1st team pitch just before their half time. It was such an exciting match which ended in a very satisfying win against Eton College of 27-18. Here is a photo of Luke passing the ball to the hooker (no. 2) with the lock (no. 4)waiting in the line for the ball. And thankfully no injuries in this match though the ambulance helicopter did land on another field for a boy with a serious leg injury.
