Spittal of Glenshee

I made an escape today for a short daunder in the clouds above the Spittal to climb Ben Gulabin. It was like walking in a steam room with next to nil visibility.

This bridge was built in 1749 under the supervision of Major Caufeild who was building a road from Coupar Angus to Fort George. This would allow easier movement of British troops in the Highlands in order to quell any further Jacobite rebellion.
