Which Christmas?

So, it's really going to happen. Trams will run in Edinburgh once more. I just wonder which Christmas they mean?

I remember waiting at a temporary bus stop with a very old lady in 2008, not long after the tram works had started. She complained about all the disruption. I tried to cheer up, suggesting that it would be worth it in the end. Her response was that she didn't think she'd live to see it. She must have been in her 90s, and I think about her every time that there is an announcement about the trams, wondering whether or not she is still alive.

Exercise today: walked to work and back again, 2 hours. I think that I have recovered sufficiently from my three colds to start running again at the weekend.
