Ansouis

Day trip! I found this in a tiny church in the most adorable hilltop french town. As beautiful as the church was, there was something even better waiting outside. After the obligatory walk around to try and find a cake shop, we went back to the first one we found. Any boy was I glad. They had some delicious tiny patisserie treats. I ate my first macaron there. After seeing them so much on the Great British Bake Off, I can say they taste as good as they look. Tiny little meringue sandwiches filled with goodness. Got to make some of those sometimes. There is only one problem with them, you could never restrain yourself to just one.
