King William's Bridge

I joined my old schoolfriend on her early morning walk, which crosses this C17 packhorse bridge. Known as King William's Bridge, as it is thought that King William III crossed it when visiting the Grey family at Bradgate Hall (the erstwhile home of Lady Jane Grey).

From here we went north, via Helmsley, to stay with more friends.
