Apple fountain at APort

Almaty means father of apples (in kazakh) and apparently this is where the apple originated. Apples grow wild here in the nearby mountains. Needless to say the symbol of modern Almaty is the humble apple and there are numerous monuments dedicated to it all around town. This one is in front of one of the shopping malls "APort".
