Pupae

I've been following the development of these from the time I watched the Large White butterfly lay the eggs on nasturtium leaves then watching them go through the change from tiny caterpillar until the large caterpillars have now changed into pupae. I don't know if they will change into butterflies this year or overwinter. Nearby are two differently coloured smaller pupae belonging to the Small White which metamorphised 2 weeks previously. I am not very keen on these very common butterflies because the caterpillars eat several plants in the garden but I hope that I see them actually change into butterflies.
