Mazegill
Last autumn I found a splendid example of a Birch mazegill bracket fungus in woodland near to the Basingstoke canal at Deepcut. Today I headed back on the off chance it might still be there - as indeed it was :)
This time I had a Canon 100mm L macro lens (an almost permanent fixture on my camera), and a "focus stack" technique under my belt. The light was a bit poor, but pushing the IS to 400 for this 8 photo stack hasn't produced too much noise, and I am quite pleased with the result.
