Stitch in Time

Mum text me this morning to see if I wanted to go to the penultimate showing of the Great Scottish Tapestry at the Scottish Parliament. Thanks to my dear old mum I didn't miss out on an amazing experience, would not have gone otherwise. I could have chosen any number of pics, it was really hard to settle on one but this is a detail from one of the panels which was about Whisky Distilling. I love the detail that has gone into the depiction of the water, incredible to capture the movement so beautifully with a needle and thread. The whole Tapestry is full of such craft and imagination. It will be going on tour apparently but no-one seems to know quite when! Check it out if you get the chance.
