Still Life - New Life

Picked up a few Conkers/Horse chestnuts the other day on my way into work - blown off the trees and not really ready to open.

One was well encased and protected - a very small conker in a big casing.

Left this one just lying on a shelf in my office and spotted it had opened up today!
Worthy of a blip, me thought.
