Kuching Waterfront
Seemed to lose a day en route to Kuching, Sarawak's capital, where we arrived late in the evening, in time for a stroll along the river in the company of of a hubbub of late night strollers, families, groups of teenagers, the odd tourists such as us and numerous buskers, most performing Western pop songs with more enthusiasm than melody. This guy was the notable exception, playing this traditional stringed instrument, the sape, liquid notes floating in the humid night air.
The building on the right bank is the State Parliament, visible from all over the city.
