Leukerbad

Sunshine.

Leukerbad’s ring of mountains is even more spectacular with blue skies and a spot of alpine sunshine.

We spent today climbing up from Leukerbad up to a series of alpine meadows and the beautiful little chapel at Fluekappelle at 2067m above sea level (and more critically about 600 metres above Leukerbad). The descent was somewhat painful on the knees, but a couple of hours in the thermal baths near the hotel relieved at least some of the aches.
