Ellen

After a career in fashion, both in the creative and the commercial side of the business, Ellen Dijkhuis finished an education at a classic academy for painting. The influence of her first career is still visible in her work: in her subjects as well as in the materials she paints on. In a recent series she combines her painting canvas with fabrics to bring extra structure and patterns into her work.
