In this case I missed the opportunity to take a shot, or rather several, of one of the White Buses that the Swedish Red Cross used during World War II. It's been here in Uppsala for almost a week now. First I thought it was here just for the big cultural festivities on Saturday, when I was working and couldn't go. Then I found out on Tuesday that it would be here until today. Since I've been unwell for the last couple of days I thought I'd get myself into town today to see it. After a nice walk along the river, a not so nice walk up some stairs and a less nice walk up a hill - where Uppsala castle is situated, with the Peace Museum inside the castle and where the bus would be... Well, the tent it should've been parked under was still there, but no bus in sight... *sigh*
So, either it was parked somewhere else or it has gone home to the south of Sweden. I took a shot of our botanical garden instead and walked down the hill, took another way down to the river and managed to come right on time for the bus home. Came home rather tired, but it was nice with some fresh air and sunshine even if the trip didn't turn out as I wanted.
I'm a bit better today so hopefully I'll be able to go to work on Monday. :) And the sun is going to shine this weekend so lots of fresh air and sunshine would do the trick, I hope. :)
Have a great weekend everyone! :)
