Blue September

The Caryopteris is at its best at the moment. It hangs over the path and I love it and so do the bees.

I spent an age trying to capture a crisp shot of one of the many bees ( large and small) and hover flies attracted to it but they all eluded my camera.

I satisfied myself with the lovely blue of the flowers and the glint of light on the gossamer wings of one of them (see large)
