Once a familiar sight in the Australian outback pasture lands this old threesome has gone past it's "use by date" - which I think is rather sad.

The blue triangle (top cut off) plate on a star picket in the foreground is where scheme piped water is now located and, has replaced the old system.

When the crop has been harvested, sheep are grazed on the stems that are left from the harvesting machine so a drinking supply is required - much less maintenance and more secure supply. But less romantic and evocative of days gone by.
