Treading Water
Do you ever get that feeling that you are simply treading water to keep your head above water? If you stop for one minute, you're going to be consumed by everything around you and won't be able to breathe? My mind feels like it is bursting at the seems with things I need to do, things I want to do and things I am doing. I don't want to miss a moment of any of my girls life, that is why we made the decision for me to be the full-time parent, but even then there's still not enough hours in the day. Monday's and Thursday's are my most constant days, with mine and the girls commitments. I know that I often put more pressure on myself than is necessary, but don't we all?! We had a fabulous turnout at Twins at Totstime today, welcoming four new families :) R&P had their swimming lesson straight after Twins Club and did really well. Ruby's swimming is fantastic, she loves to be under water. We had friends round for lunch after swimming, and then DM's swimming after picking DM up from school. We've had to get DM to really focus on her swimming recently as we've found she was depending on the buoyancy of her wetsuit for her deep water swimming. After one doubtful lesson at the beginning of term, she's now doing really well. I found that she was doubting herself, and when she thinks about her doubts, she struggles in the water. But after a couple of lengths of I can do it, she now knows, she really can do it. We all went to watch her lesson today, and DM swam perfectly. Aj was a bit of a menace, and ended up taking her shoes and socks off and splashing her feet in the little bits of water along the side of the pool. She loved it!! Whilst it's probably not the best thing to allow her to do, sometimes it's easier (and a lot less stressful) to go with the flow. After DM's swimming comes dinner, bath and bed and time for my Tippy Tappy Toe.
