Battersea Power Station

4 taxis and about £40 lighter and I got my blip of Battersea Power Station.

Ever since seeing this building on Pink Floyd's 'Animals' album cover I have been completely fascinated by it. Being next to it I was in complete awe at it's sheer size and it's dominating presence next to the River Thames.

It was quite sad seeing it in such an appauling state but I believe there are plans to convert it into posh over priced flats, offices, shops, restaurants, a hotel etc. I'm not sure how I feel about that to be honest. If they retain the current art deco structure and manage to preserve it as much as possible then I guess it's got to be a good thing. I'm just glad I got in there with my camera before it changes too much.
