Blame the Blackbird

The blackbird usually wakes me between 5.30 and 5.45 am, but he was a bit late this morning. When I woke the moon was about to vanish into a dense bank of clouds over Ben More. It was too dark anyway. Too much contrast. The moon, as I saw it, was more gold than it appears here, and the clouds were not so black.

I finished clearing the long grass from one of the vegetable plots. By gosh it was hard work. Now there is the mass of twitch/couch roots to deal with.
