Stirling

A day out to Stirling with some friends today. I was first to the bus stop this morning and took a picture to prove it. But I thought this was more interesting to share.

Aerobic exercise in the morning (the walk up the hill to the Castle) and Retail Therapy in the afternoon. Then the bus home. A good day :-D

The white memorial is to a young girl (I think and her sister) who was drowned for not renouncing her faith and converting to Catholicism or Protestantism, or whichever one was prevalent at the time. After the event, the people of Stirling raised funds for the very impressive memorial. I didn't go down to the cemetery so my information is second hand but I still found it a moving story.
