Green

I knew I would be having a heavy day at work today so I slipped out this morning before work and just took quick shots of all the green I could find for the Rainbow Challenge hosted by Horomaka.

These beautiful new leaves are sprouting from all the Plane trees in our area, its amazing how quickly this happens, it seems last time I looked they were totally bare. Of course I've played around with this image in Pixlromatic as it was a very grey and drizzly morning and it needed something!

Since Jake got sick I havent been walking in the mornings because I felt bad about leaving him at home. But this morning he didnt even notice that I'd gone.

I've been putting a warm hot water bottle into his bed and he settles with that. Generally he has lost touch with everything, he isnt excited or happy about anything, the pain is taking up his whole world and he is either asleep once the medication has taken effect or awake and panting and shaking just before the next dose is due. He's still eating and drinking and there is one short period where he manages to wag his tail just a little bit, but thats getting shorter and shorter. Its hard to see him like this and hard to accept that this might not get any better!

We took GingerNan out for dinner again tonight to a wonderful seafood restaurant. We all ate too much because it was so delicious and just to top it all off we even had some totally yummy cake!! Its been so nice to have her here and I'm sad that she'll be heading back to NZ on Saturday, its just too soon!! Its been fantastic to have another blipper around who understands the hold it gets on you :)
