Charis and Friend
I was going to put up an image of the full Harvest Moon, but I'm sure Blip will be chuck full of moon shots tonight and tomorrow night, but they won't have Charis (Greek for Grace) and this beautiful weimaraner named Kerry (spelling unknown on this one). I walked over to the school yard to find the full moon and I ran into Mark, who I worked with years ago. His in-laws lived up the street from us, and now his daughter and her family live in the house. This is his beautiful granddaughter and she was having fun petting this dog, out on a walk with his owner.
Tomorrow is going to be a fun day. I hope. We are heading to Portland's Pearl District to have a downtown day and to wander about the area and then go to dinner at Andina , a wonderful Peruvian restaurant. Check out their link and go to their menu if you want to see some fancy food. And look at the dessert menu! Holy smokes, it's just fantastic. I mean, it's no Sizzler, but it'll do. ;) (I jest, of course.) We are finally going to use the gift certificate we got last Christmas (yes, I said Christmas) from our son and my aunt. It is a generous amount and we should have lots of fun at this place. Or at least I will. Bill isn't quite as enthralled with menus that need translating into plain English. Such as:
ESCABECHE DE POLLITO CON DUO DE CAMOTES *
Pisco-brined Draper Valley chicken, pan-roasted to order, served with escabeche-style pickled onions, sweet potato as both crispy quinoa croquetas and huacatay gratin, and topped with Botija olives and quail eggs 23.
I am giddy with delight, and Bill thinks he will have the steak! The camera goes with, of course.
Must run, see ya tomorrow with tales of the Pearl.
