A not hovering hoverfly

First crack at insect macro with the new ringflash. First hugely apparent benefit is the instant rise in the depth of field you can get. While I usually strive to use the lowest DoF I can get away with it's a definite advantage to get more here. Too windy today to get any in flight, hard enough getting them sitting still in this weather! Big learning curve ahead but looking forward too it!

On another note, tomorrow will be 100 blip day, so best get a decent image I suppose!
