Birthday flowers

Happy birthday to me! Though it is all commonplace, I'm so thankful for the birthday cake, the food, the chocolates, the flowers, a beautifully crafted card, everything... perhaps even all the phone calls and messages.

Well, it is a day to take stock, of another year gone by in my life. And a time to look back at how I have lived. Not at the part of life represented in the accolades, or promonotions, or money.It's a time to question if I have done the things I've done with care, with involvement, with feeling, with a sense of being at one with it.
