Seedlings..
..of Borecole, Red Russian.
We've been growing and harvesting this all through the summer, but the plants are now full of flowers. I've cut some flowers off, and this seems to have rejuvenated the plants which are now producing more leaves from the stems..
It cooks like kale, but tastes like a cross between kale and spinach. I love it. I planted these a few weeks back, and have planted some in the tunnel to see if they'll develop over the winter to give us a crop in the spring. And hopefully I'll get the remainder planted out before winter sets in proper. I might have to nurture them a bit more in 7 cm pots first though..
Thanks for the good wishes for my elbow, especially your's Croftcrafts!! Very Sympathetic. I didn't have a good night. Slept for a couple of hours before the pain kicked in again. Heard the clock strike 3, then 4, and 5, and then got up and had some more paracetamol. Next heard the clock strike 7..
Not done much today, a small harvest, and a play on the new company computer, the arm still feels like it's stuck in the vice..
Hopefully a better night tonight..
