This Garden Cross Spider has built a huge web across the side channel of my house. I mean the web spans a good couple of feet. I almost walked into it, which would have got my attention I assure you.

Those abdomen markings are quite something aren't they. I bet most people just look them and get repulsed. This time of year is their time, there will be loads around, so go out in your garden and have a look.
