St Peter's Church, Hanwell

A while ago, on the return journey from a National Trust property in Oxfordshire, we discovered a little 12th century church sitting at the end of a short, narrow track. Unfortunately, we were in too much of a hurry to go inside.

Since it was pouring with rain today, we thought we might try to find it again.

This we did - we had the place to ourselves, and were free to wander where we wanted.

The church was built sometime before 1154, and looks as though it will stand another 800 years (even if doesn't have an NHBC certificate).

Incidentally, I've backloaded some stuff from last week so I'm now up to date.

Have a good week.
