Late afternoon reflections

Today was Laura's last day at home before returning to university tomorrow. She had done quite a lot of packing already, but this morning she was doing some remaining things, while I did some last minute laundry. It was a typical hot and steamy August afternoon, so the three of us decided to go watch the movie Julie and Julia in the nicely air-conditioned movie theater, then go for a walk at the Nature Center later in the afternoon. However, it was still plenty muggy enough even then! The late afternoon sun shining on the trees and their reflections in the water made for quite a nice photo though. We really enjoyed the movie - made us quite nostalgic for the ten years we spent in France! After freshening up at home, we went out for an excellent Italian meal. Now its time for bed, as we need to get a pretty early start, as she is helping register new students for Band Camp starting at 11.30 am!
